Former ONWARD Guitarist Changes Name Of Black Metal Project
April 1, 2004Former ONWARD guitarist Toby Knapp has changed the name of his black metal project to WAXEN from the previously announced UNIT 100. "New material has been recently composed and all the elements of warmth and joy found in the music of UNIT 100 have been thrown out the door in favor of some very cold 'music,'" reads a post on Knapp's web site. "The WAXEN debut, 'Splendid Impure Light', [was scheduled to be] recorded in March and a low-priced DVD featuring a video of the title track will be available soon.
In other news, Knapp recently began producing and playing session bass for Billings, MT band PROMETHEUS (tentative name). The group's music is being described as "desecration rock in the vein of old VENOM, HELLHAMMER, EXECUTIONER etc." More information will be made available soon.
